The Power Security Academy was created to fill a void in the security fields to develop training concepts, materials, and courses for security guards in an effort to create a standard of security officer training comparable to that of any major law enforcement agency local, state or federal. All security personnel must complete the required 40 hours of security officer skills, per the B.S.I.S. All our security officers must complete a 4-hours of orientation training and 48 hours of pre-assignment training with a special section dedicated exclusively to our expectations of the PSG security officer, including proper behavior on the job site, punctuality, and the importance of respectful treatment of the public, clients, and law enforcement. Our curriculum incorporates top-of-the-line training equipment to enhance the learning experience. We take pride in offering the most advanced Guard Card Training, Firearms Training, and Baton Training programs available.

Through a combination of lecture and classroom training, the student will identify the stages of conflict in order to recognize the threat, reduce the threat, and determine how and when to use force. Avoid liability suits through certified training, understanding the effects of OC spray, identifying factors which justify OC use, and proper OC incident documentation.

With this certification, our graduates are prepared to provide life-saving assistance when every second counts. At Power Security Academy, we understand the importance of AED certification for security professionals. Our comprehensive training program includes a specialized course on AED certification, ensuring that our graduates are equipped with the necessary skills to respond quickly and effectively in life-threatening situations. With this certification, our security guards are prepared to provide crucial assistance using automated external defibrillators, potentially saving lives.

Patrol security officers must meet the same requirements including additional training with our Patrol Division in courses such as; Defensive Driving Course in real time using freeways, highways, toll roads, off-road, street, residential, parking lots, etc. and, Motor Vehicle and Driver Safety. Certification in CPR/AED/First Aid is completed at the client’s request. Considerable time is spent stressing the consequences for violating company policies such as; sleeping on the job, abandoning post or using electronic entertainment devices while on duty. Violations, disciplinary procedures, and termination process are clearly outlined in our Employee Policy Manual.
